The Flummery Room presents.......Physical Performance classes led by Brenda Waite.

This physical theatre practice focuses on improvisation as a source of discovery, a way of opening imagination and encouraging an individual sense of play and invention. The classes promote the development of performance skills and will involve movement, sound and language, the use of space and composition. We will explore working individually, with partners and as an ensemble.

The Flummery Room was established in Bristol in 1998 by Brenda Waite. It is a space for artistic exchange and the development of improvisational performance skills in a stimulating and supportive environment. The practice draws on each individual's unique and idiosyncratic vocabulary, allowing them to follow their own interests and pleasure in performance.

Brenda Waite is a physical theatre practitioner who involves improvisation as a central element in her performance work. She has studied improvisational performance with Juleyn Hamilton, Al Wunder, Andrew Morrish, Katie Duck and Sten Rudstrom and has toured internationally with improv co. 'Born in a Taxi'.
